Raquel P. F. Guiné has a PhD in Chemical Engineering (2005) and Teaching Habilitation in Food Science (2015). The major fields of study include food engineering, food processing, food science and nutrition, dietary patterns and eating habits. University Teacher since 1994, is presently a Coordinating Professor with Habilitation at the Food Industry Department.
Scientific achievements: up to the present date: Author/co-author of about 22 books, 96 chapters, 337 research papers and 349 conference proceedings. Has presented 36 keynote speeches by invitation, 225 oral communications and 175 posters presented at scientific conferences.
Most relevant awards: 2013 – First Prize in the National Contest sponsored by the CAP relative to a new food developed; 2017 – Winner of the prize CEI-IIT – Research, Innovation and Territory with a project about Family Agriculture. 2021- Author of article in Food Control distinguished as in the top 1% of citation by web of Knowledge and Scopus. 2021 – Listed in TOP 2% World Scientists (University of Stanford - Elsevier) in 2 categories: Career and Single Year. 2022 – Listed in TOP 2% World Scientists (University of Stanford - Elsevier) in 2 categories: Career and Single Year.
Large experience in supervision of Master thesis (37 finished) and PhD thesis (3 in Progress) and jury of PhD Thesis Defence (10 finished).
Organization of 29 conferences/meetings and Scientific Board for 69 conferences.
