Marta Helena Fernandes Henriques
Completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2013, her Master's in Biochemical Engineering in 2005 and her 5-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering in 2001 at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. Is Director of the Applied Research Institute (i2A) of the Polytechnic of Coimbra (IPC). Is an Adjunct Professor at the Agriculture School (IPC) and Coordinator of the Master in Biotechnology. Supervised 15 MSc dissertations and co-supervised 2.
Is a member of the Laboratory SiSus: Sustainable Industrial Solutions (i2A). She published 27 scientific papers in pre-reviewed international journals. Has authored 19 book chapters and 1 book, and edited 2 books. She is an inventor of 1 international Patent, 3 Portuguese Patents and 1 Utility Model. She published 7 articles in technical magazines. She presented 41 poster communications, 31 oral communications and 37 communications by invitation in scientific and technical conferences. She organized 4 scientific events.
She received 13 awards and honors in the field of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in food technology.
She participated as principal investigator in 3 projects, as a researcher in 14 projects and as a supervisor in 1 project. Supervised 14 research fellows.
She works in the area(s) of Engineering and Technology with an emphasis on Food Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology and Chemical Process Engineering.
