    – Gestão e reciclagem de resíduos
    – Processos electroquimicos em aplicações ambientais
    Actualmente está a trabalhar na recuperação de fósforo, de acordo com os conceitos da economia circular e do uso eficiente de recursos.

    Coordena o Grupo de Investigação “Ambiente e Sociedade”, um dos grupos da unidade de investigação CERNAS, liderando uma equipa de investigação atualmente com 20 membros, 10 dos quais doutorados. É também investigadora no Dep. de Engenharia de Materiais e Cerâmica/CICECO (Centro de Investigação em Materiais Cerâmicos e Compósitos), na Universidade de Aveiro e colabora no CENSE (Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research) da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
